3. Name the steps in the scientific method. 

l. Observation - must be aware of ones surroundings. What is happening?

2. Hypothesis - based on your background an educated guess as to what is going on.

3. Test - hardest part to do, you must commit yourself to setting up a series of tests or experiments to see if the hypothesis is correct.

4. Conclusions - either accept or reject the hypothesis

5. Communicate with others about your results (publish) and await for others to test your hypothesis.
