Minutes of SAACS-Mesa General Meeting on February 17, 2000

1. The meeting was called to order by Christina Daly at approximately 4:15.
2. The minutes from the general meeting on February 3rd were not present; they were not approved. The agenda for February 17 was approved.
3. Reports
a) AS Report- Mesa's child care center projects that it will need help with the Easter egg hunt it is planning. Another club noted that it is collecting blankets and cash donations to benefit the poor of Tijuana.
b) ICC Report- The ICC representative was not present; the report was not given.
c) Treasurer's Report- Ana reported that she will be able to be our treasurer.
4. Old Business
a) Recycling Report- A projected budget of $212.45 was presented. A few members wisely suggested that the trash cans should be lined to prevent the trash cans from becoming messy or sticky. It was also sensibly proposed that the trash cans should have cinder-blocks in them to prevent them from blowing about in the wind. The adjusted budget was then calculated to be $233.19. The trash cans will be spaced about campus according to the X's that Christina drew on a map of the campus.
b) Bay Keepers Report- Rhiannon was not present to give a status report.
c) Colors, Dyes, and Fibers- George was not present to give a status report.
5. New Business
a) Constitutional Reform- Christina distributed copies of the SAACS Constitution and explained the changed that she wished to make. There was general assent to her propositions.
b) Vice-presidential Elections- Tracy decided not to run for election. The other candidate was not present. Japh Rauscher was nominated. The elections did not take place.
6. Announcements- Christina briefly reported on the information left in the Chemistry Club's mailbox.
7. Open Forum- Tracy is selling her truck. It is being auctioned on e-bay.
8. Adjournment- The meeting was adjourned at approximately 4:45.
