Minutes of March 16, 2000
I. Call to order by Christina
II. Approval of ammended minutes of March 2 and agenda of
March 16- MSU.
III. Old Business
1. Recycling proposal- committee could not meet; still working
on a time to get together. On March 30, there will be a
special meeting for the recycling program to work out a polished
proposal to present to the AS. This proposal will be voted on
at the meeting on April 6.
2. Bay Keepers Report- Japh will contact Baykeepers. Anna
is volunteering to help.
3. Colors, Dyes, and Fibers Report (George)- We were funded
with $400 from ACS for this project; we should ask for a match
from the AS. The lesson plan is almost completed.
Balboa Park was contacted, and they suggested we possibly set
up a table at the Children's Museum downtown. Anna has
connections there, so this is a possibility.
4. Constitutional Reform- committee to look at constitution-
Dr. G and Christina will review, and present corrections at the
next meeting.
IV. Reports
1. AS Report- Paula went, but is not present.
2. ICC Report- finalized constitution was approved.
3. Treasurer's Report- Anna will be meeting with Dr. G and
then Dean Adrian by next meeting.
V. New Business
1. Vice-Presidential election- Japh was voted in as vice-president-
MSU
VI. Announcements
- there will be a forum for cultural unity on April 6 in room
H117 for Festival of Colors week. AS would like one member
per club to attend.
- We will have a table out that day from 11-2. Possibly have
chromatography project for passers-by.
- Third week of April- career week, we should have a table
out. Need volunteers.
- Tuesday, April 24th, is High School counselor day. Again,
we should have a table out, and we need volunteers.
- Possibility of a tour of Agouron with Japh's pharmaceutical
industry class.
- Pam got accepted into pharmacy school!
VII. Adjournment- The meeting was adjourned at 5:10p.m. by
Christina.
