GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CBT 126

  1. Print out this syllabus and read it.
  2. You must log into your course website at least once prior to Mar. 2nd.  This will insure that your professor knows you intend to complete the coursework. If you do not log into the course prior to this date, your professor will drop you from the course for nonattendance and a spot will open up to allow someone on the waiting list to add the course by the last day to add. Please note, as written above in the Important Date section, that it is the student's responsibility to drop and withdraw from classes, and that it is the instructor's discretion to withdraw a student after the add/drop deadline if it appears that no work or progress is being made on the course work.
  3. Before starting work on this course, study the Training - Student Orientation tutorials, which show you how to use the Blackboard tools so that you can successfully complete this online course. You will find the link to the student tutorials on your MyBlackboard page, listed under Course List.
  4. While work is due within the week it is assigned, you can work at your own pace and you have until 11:59 pm on the last day of class to turn in all work. Please email if you find you cannot complete the work in a timely manner.
  5. If any of the assignments or quizzes are missing, you will receive a ZERO for that assignment.
  6. Each quiz may be redone. You will receive the higher of the two grades.
  7. Assignments and tests will be corrected within the week and your grade will be entered into the gradelog. If I do not check your submissions or email during the weekend or holidays, I will do so on Monday.
  8. Any changes to this syllabus will be posted.
  9. Sometimes an unforeseen circumstance arises that prevents the student from finishing his/her work for the course.  The final decision on whether to grant an incomplete grade will be based on several factors and is entirely up to the instructor.  If you are requesting an Incomplete to be given to you for this course, you must contact your professor before the end of the course.
