Biography
Biology, Zoology B. S., M. S., San Diego State University
Mr. Ancinec comes to us from San Diego State University, where he received a B.S. degree in biology. His masters degree work was interrupted by a short stint in the Army (trained as a chemical, biological and radiological warfare specialist). He later finished his M.S. degree in Biology with a minor in zoology and botany. His thesis dealt with the ecology of Morena Reservoir in eastern San Diego County.
Mr. Ancinec has taught several courses at City and Mesa College including: natural history, general biology, biostatistics, botany, California Plants, conservation, biological photography, biological oceanography and marine biology.
He started the Mesa College website and served as its webmaster until his retirement.
His favorite pastime activities include spending time with the love of his life, Peggy, enjoying his family, playing badminton , and photography.
He is currently retired and teaches Biology 107 in the Spring Semester.
