56. What is the function of the microtubules?
Microfiaments and microtubules are part of the cytoskeleton. They enable the matrix of the cell to change shape and function according to conditions and needs. These units are made of protein and support the three dimensional structure of the cell. Note the microfilament and microtubules of the plant cell.
