60 What is the symbiotic relationship between the pronuba moth and the yucca plant?
Mutualism. The pronuba moth is responsible for fertilization of the yucca and the yucca allows the moth to raise its young. They do this by picking up pollen and burrowing into the ovary of the flower. They lay their eggs in the burrow, transferring pollen which allows the yucca to fertilize it's ovules and the yucca moth to have food for the developing caterpillars.
