7. In a linkage cross, unexpected phenotypes are the result of what?
Note in the F1 generation there has been a crossing over from one pair to the other pair, now "R" is paired with "t". and the "r" is paired with "T". The F1, instead of being all Red- tall, just half are Red-Tall, the rest are Red-Short. In the F2, this results in unexpected phenotype combinations such as White-Tall. Note that these are generally monohybrid ratios.
