19. In the process of respiration, name the three metabolic poisons and which system they affect.

Cyanide - Cytochrome - Hydrogens are accepted, but the final transfer of electrons is stopped, so no ATPs are produced.

Lack of Oxygen - stops the transfer of electrons because the terminal acceptor is not there and of course, no ATPs.

Dinitrophenol - Make the mitochondrial membrane leaky to protons. A gradient can not be built, so as a result, no ATPs.
