55. What event(s) occur with photosystem I, II and Non-cyclic Phosphorylation?

When light strikes the cholorphyll, electrons and protons from photolysis (light spliting water) result in both Photosystem I and Photosystem II to lose their electrons.

Photosystem II electrons move through the thylakoid membranes (within the chloroplast) to generate ATP eventially replacing Photosystem I's lost electons.

Photosystem I's electrons pass on to NADP, allowing NADP to pick up free protons (H). Electrons from photolysis pass on to Photosystem II.
