This page is dedicated to those who have had a major influences on the Martial Arts & Self Defense Program at both San Diego City College and San Diego Mesa College and are no longer with us. We would like to acknowledge Sandan Sensei, Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate-Do & Professor, Health & Exercise Science, San Diego City College, Jim Colbert, as founder of the Martial Arts & Self Defense Program at San Diego City College; Grandmaster Narciso "Narrie" Babao for his contribution of Arnis Batangas Baston, the style of Arnis de Mano used in the Martial Arts class; and Supreme Grandmaster James A Wilson for contributing his style of Taekwondo, Hapkido, & Kickboxing to the Martial Arts & Kickboxing classes at San Diego Mesa College.
